Martha’s Vineyard turns red, white, and blue on July 4th. It’s a magical experience that one can only describe as all-American. The island celebrates with festivities for all ages: the Polar Bear Club plunges into the chilly waters of Oak Bluffs, racers in flag attire run the 5K in Vineyard Haven, the Edgartown Parade, and the spectacular fireworks display over the Lighthouse in Edgartown Harbor.
My family enjoys a leisurely day by the pool before the fireworks.
