An Aperol Spritz is the quintessential summer drink! It’s a very festive addition to our July 4th celebration. It’s absolutely delicious lounging around the pool or at the beach.
Light and delicious, Aperol is a bright orange bittersweet apéritif used in Italy to stimulate the appetite before dinner. Now, it is the star of the famous Aperol Spritz.
I substituted sparkling Rosé for Prosecco, another favorite summer beverage in the traditional 3-2-1 ratio. You can use any sparkling wine, prosecco, cava, or champagne.
Happy July 4th!
Ingredients
- 3 ounces sparkling Rosé or Prosecco
- 2 ounces Aperol
- 1-ounce club soda
- Garnish: orange slice
Steps
- Add the 3 ounces of sparkling Rosé or Prosecco, Aperol, and club soda to a wine glass half-filled with ice and stir.
- Garnish with an orange slice.
Enjoy!

This sounds great! Love the bitter notes of Aperal and you’ve balanced it with sweetness really nicely.
